Step 1: Sand the existing wood on the table so it's smooth and wipe away any dust with a lint-free cloth or tack cloth.
Step 2: Gently stir the wood stain with a stir stick until well mixed. With a high-quality synthetic paint brush, apply a liberal amount of stain with the wood grain of the table. Let the stain penetrate the wood for 2-3 minutes and wipe off the excess with the grain of the wood.
Step 3: Let the stain dry for 1 hour.
Step 4: Apply Spar Urethane with a high-quality paint brush going with the grain of the wood. Follow the directions on the can for best results.
